The idea was born in 1976 because of the need for quality wheels and conceived from two motorsport drivers and passionate.

Mixing the passion for motorsport of with difficult situation of the country of the banned importation at the time, our founders drew the lines of what will become the first 3 pieces wheel manufactured in Spain under the name of STRAL brand.

BRAID company was founded in 1979 separating from its matrix Stral. The first set of wheels under BRAID brand was mounted this same year on a SEAT 124 Gr2, which raced and won the Spanish circuit Championship.

Starts the wonderful connection and a perfect symbiosis with Paris Dakar rally, which still exists nowadays.

Grown of the competition market with collaborations and appearance in national races, equipping several prestigious official teams such as factory Ford Gr B rally, Hyundai circuit racing, etc. and private teams. End of the decade saw our second location move, to our current location, including new machineries, indeed modern for the time.

Our marketing opens to the aftermarket, creating new manufacturing process and launching diverse models for street cars.
